KBC repeatedly honored with Best of Consulting Award
We continue our success story at the renowned Best of Consulting Award of WirtschaftsWoche: for the ninth time, KBC made it into the top three places in this competition. The advisory board and jury, consisting of academic representatives and decision-makers with consulting experience, evaluated the submitted projects according to the strictest criteria.

The award ceremony took place on 21.11.2024 in Düsseldorf, where Stefan Kemény, Senior Partner and Chairman of the Board of Directors of KBC, accepted the awards. “This renewed recognition by the WirtschaftsWoche jury confirms our claim to develop customized and innovative solutions for our customers. It’s great to see how our “Consulting to the Core” approach is also generating enthusiasm among independent experts.”, says Kemény.
About the award-winning projects
In the segment, industry winner in the category “Mechanical and Plant Engineering” , the client’s core problem was to finance the switch to a more resource- and energy-efficient production method without jeopardizing the profitability of new greenfield projects. KBC focused on innovation-driven cost optimization, which drastically reduced the investment costs for new systems and at the same time enabled the company to achieve its sustainability goals. The result impressively shows that sustainability and cost efficiency do not have to be opposites and that companies can achieve their ecological goals and remain competitive at the same time with innovative approaches.
In the category “Strategy” , the aim was to accelerate company growth beyond the core business for our client and to reduce dependency on one main customer. KBC used a 5-step approach that included data-driven analyses, stakeholder interviews and co-creation. The main challenge was not only to develop a future-proof R-marketing strategy, but also to ensure its immediate implementation, including an adaptive roadmap with expansion stages for rapid market adjustments.

WirtschaftsWoche’s Best of Consulting Award is considered one of the most important industry awards for consulting firms in Germany. It recognizes outstanding consulting projects in various categories and has established itself as a seal of quality in the consulting industry.
