About Jakob le Claire
Jakob le Claire joined KBC as a consultant in 2010 after completing his mechanical engineering studies at RWTH Aachen University, the Technical University of Dresden, and Imperial College London. He has been a senior partner and co-owner since early 2024 and, in this role, is responsible for the Business Operations division.
From the very beginning, his work focused on product development, an area of expertise that the Hamburg native was among the first at KBC to systematically build up. Over the years, he led numerous projects aimed at optimizing R&D processes, collaboration models, and development, product, and quality costs—always with a focus on the challenges posed by complex industrial products.
His particular strength lies in the early stages of development, in product and modular strategies, and in managing complex development projects. In doing so, he combines transparency with clear decision-making processes and consistent implementation of measures. Drawing on his process expertise, he applies artificial intelligence (AI) in a targeted manner based on its benefits: from identifying suitable use cases to data models and domain-specific data relationships, all the way through to implementation. A key focus is the use of AI in early-stage product development to optimize product and development costs. In this capacity, he supports clients in the mechanical and plant engineering, commercial vehicle, and automotive industries.
