Kemény Boehme Consultants Once Again Named "Best of Consulting" by *WirtschaftsWoche*

John passed with flying colors

Kemény Boehme Consultants (KBC) was honored with two awards at the “Best of Consulting” awards ceremony hosted by *WirtschaftsWoche* magazine. The winners were celebrated last night in Düsseldorf. KBC partner John Dowling accepted the awards. Only actual projects were eligible for the competition.

In the Manufacturing & Operations category, KBC’s client faced the dilemma of reviving a project for a new production facility in Asia that had been put on hold due to COVID-19, and completing and commissioning the plant under challenging conditions. A holistic and innovative “remote collaboration” concept, utilizing augmented reality and a Remote Impact Center, among other tools, ensured that the greenfield project was successfully completed and production could begin. “Our joint success with the client ensured that they were able to gain a competitive edge in the Asian market despite challenging conditions,” says KBC Partner John Dowling. “Having this achievement recognized by an independent body is a great validation of our approach to tackling challenges and working together with the client to achieve success.”

In the Purchasing & Supply Chain Management category, KBC’s client faced the challenge that supply bottlenecks in its production were jeopardizing the success of the fiscal year. KBC subsequently implemented a data model capable of linking sales, purchasing, production, and logistics data—as well as the relationships between them—to define an optimal production schedule that accounts for missing parts per production shift. As a result, revenue increased by 84 percent compared to the previous year, while inventory was reduced by 12 percent and the planning horizon was extended from 4 to 12 weeks. “The solution must always be tailored to the specific needs of the business in order to be fully effective,” says Felix Feuerbach, Managing Director of KBC.
