About the Team

Senior Partner and Owner

Stefan Kemény

Stefan is a founding member and the namesake of KBC, and served as managing partner of the limited liability company. Since the SE was founded in July 2023, he has served as chairman of the board of directors. He is also the practice lead for the Supply Chain Management division.

From 1991 to 1997, Stefan Kemény studied mechanical engineering at Clausthal University and the University of Cardiff (Wales), while also studying business administration and economics at the University of Göttingen starting in 1993.

In 1997, he began his consulting career at Mummert Consulting in the automotive sector in Hamburg. He was then recruited by Ernst & Young Consulting in Stuttgart, where he optimized product development for companies in the automotive and aerospace industries. From there, he moved to the BMW Group in 2001 to establish the company’s in-house management consulting practice. As a principal, he led the program management and deputy product development divisions.

Stefan’s passion for technology kept drawing him back to the automotive world—as an automotive mechanic, a classic car enthusiast, and, of course, a management consultant. And ultimately, it led to the founding of KBC in 2007.

Thanks to his insights into technology industries, companies, and their value chains, Stefan Kemény can draw on a wide range of best practices. For him, however, the key is listening, asking probing questions, and truly understanding—so he can develop the best solution for his clients, one that is tailored to their specific needs.

Felix Feuerbach

Felix is a founding member of KBC and served as deputy managing director and authorized signatory of the GmbH. Since the establishment of the SE in July 2023, he has been the managing director.

Cars are his passion—Felix made that clear from a very early age. While still in school, he began his professional career at a garage that serviced cars and motorcycles. In 1994, he entered the world of auto racing, working as a mechanic and race engineer while pursuing his studies. He completed his degree in mechanical and automotive engineering in the United Kingdom in 1998.

Subsequently, in 1999, he co-founded Automotive Solutions GmbH, where he served as technical managing director and was responsible for overall vehicle development. In 2003, he joined Nexolab GmbH, working within the company’s in-house BMW management consulting division. Here, too, Felix Feuerbach was responsible for product development and production, this time in the context of product- and practice-oriented consulting projects within the BMW Group and among its suppliers.

Today, Felix advises his clients on product-related issues concerning quality, costs, and innovation. Since 2011, he has also been deeply involved in the circular economy, particularly in the field of remanufacturing. Since 2018, he has been a member of the expert jury for the Remanufacturer of the Year Award, which is presented by Rematec, the leading trade fair for remanufacturing.

However, Felix has retained that racing team vibe over the years and is still active in motorsports today.

Maximilian Klee

Maximilian Klee is a founding member and co-owner of KBC.

After earning his high school diploma in the humanities and completing a degree in business administration at the University of Passau, he began his career at Nexolab GmbH, BMW’s in-house management consulting firm in Munich.

Maximilian Klee draws his expertise from over 18 years of experience supporting large-scale projects at OEMs and suppliers in the automotive industry. He developed the KBC “Quality Scan” methodology, which provides companies with rapid insights into potential quality improvement measures. For the past six years, he has been providing intensive support to automotive suppliers in critical delivery situations as a consultant and interim manager.

In addition to his consulting work, he regularly conducts studies on topics such as “quality and reliability” and “supply chain management.”

However, Maximilian views experience and a solid understanding of business management as just one component in helping his clients reach their full potential. He considers an enthusiasm for complex challenges to be just as important—an enthusiasm that fosters a natural hands-on approach within the team, as well as a passion for implementing solutions and exceeding expectations.

Georg Huber

Georg joined KBC as a manager in 2008 and has been a senior partner and co-owner since 2013. He also serves as the practice lead for the Product Development division.

His passion for technology led him straight to the Technical University of Munich to study mechanical engineering. After spending time abroad and serving as an assistant to the management at his family’s mechatronic systems development company, his deep passion for automobiles led him to join the development management consulting firm [bu:st] automotive GmbH in 2005. He oversaw a wide range of projects in overall vehicle development and was responsible for product management regarding reporting concepts within the development process.

Georg has demonstrated his many years of experience—particularly in the area of quality cost and performance optimization—across a wide range of industries: from agricultural machinery to rail and medical technology, his in-depth expertise and consulting skills are in high demand everywhere.

He attributes the fact that his projects achieve their desired goals even in challenging environments, in part, to his interdisciplinary expertise, which allows him to engage with both engineers and business professionals on an equal footing—a foundation he considers essential for collaborative partnerships.

Marc Perbix

Marc joined KBC as a Director in 2017 and has been a Senior Partner and co-owner since late 2022. He also serves as Practice Lead for the Sales and Aftersales division.

A native of Westphalia, he studied international business administration in Munich, Paris, and London. He began his career as a business administrator at a leading technology company, Siemens AG, where he gained his first experience in customer care, laying the foundation for his current expertise in the after-sales sector.

After his first role, his career path led him to Accenture, an international management consulting firm, where he spent 11 years gaining extensive consulting experience in industries such as electronics and high-tech, pharmaceuticals, and energy, specializing in supply chain and after-sales management.

In July 2017, he joined KBC, where, in addition to leading various projects, he expanded the Business Development division and has been in charge of it for the past five years. As a Senior Partner, he now focuses primarily on account management for an automotive OEM in the Digital Car sector.

To this day, what he values most about his job is the wide variety of tasks and the opportunity to work with people in an exciting project environment. He is particularly committed to passing on his many years of experience. He passionately supports his mentees and young colleagues in their professional development and is always ready to listen.

Jakob le Claire

Jakob joined KBC as a consultant in 2010 and has been a senior partner and co-owner since early 2024. Among other things, he is responsible for the Business Operations division, and in this role he plays a key role in driving KBC’s structural development.

He earned his degree in mechanical engineering from RWTH Aachen University, with key academic stints at TU Dresden and Imperial College London. At BMW, where he gained his first practical experience in the automotive sector, he discovered his passion for developing complex products. Driven by a desire to work on project-based assignments while gaining exposure to a variety of industries and companies, he decided to launch his career in the dynamic yet family-like environment at KBC.

From the very beginning, his work focused on product development. He soon established this area as one of KBC’s core areas of expertise. Over the years, the Hamburg native led numerous projects aimed at optimizing development processes, costs, and organizational structures—with a focus on the challenges facing the automotive industry and the growing importance of digital products.

As a senior partner, Jakob is a driving force behind KBC’s successful market positioning and is setting the course for the company’s future. His commitment to the personal and professional development of his colleagues is not only part of his job, but also reflects his belief that sustainable growth can only be achieved by strengthening the team.
