Press Release
KBC ranks among the best employers

For years now, KBC has been ranked among Germany’s top employers. We regularly receive the Great Place to Work® awards for “Best Consulting Employers” and “Bavaria’s Best Employers.”
A special year with special challenges
2020 was a unique year, as the pandemic presented us with unprecedented challenges. Lockdowns, social distancing, no face-to-face interaction, and no group activities. Close teamwork is a key part of our KBC culture, which is why this was—and still is—a particularly challenging time. Virtual coffee breaks and get-togethers could only partially make up for this. At the same time, we also moved into our new office last year, located in the newly developed Art District in eastern Munich. There—naturally, in compliance with appropriate hygiene guidelines—we at least had the opportunity to see each other again and speak in person. We served our clients and managed our projects just as professionally as before. To do so, we utilized the full range of online tools and techniques, including remote collaboration.
KBC Honored Once Again by GPTW
We were delighted that our TEAM once again awarded us the top score in the GPTW competition. This year, we were even able to add a third award to our collection with the “Best Small and Medium-Sized Employer” distinction.
The graduation ceremony will take place in May. We’re really looking forward to finding out exactly where we placed in each category.
General information about the competition:
Best Employers in Consulting, Bavaria's Best Employers, Best Employers in Small and Medium-Sized Businesses:
The award is based on an anonymous and representative survey of KBC employees. Topics covered in the survey include trust in management, quality of collaboration, appreciation, identification with the company, career development opportunities, compensation, team spirit, fairness, respect, and identification with the company. In addition, as part of a culture audit, management is asked which measures and programs have been implemented to foster an attractive workplace culture. The results of the two surveys (Great Place to Work® Employee Survey + Culture Audit) are weighted in a 3:1 ratio. The employees’ assessment is therefore the primary focus.
Consulting firms of all sizes and from all industry segments participated in the current Great Place to Work® industry competition, “Best Employers in Consulting 2021.”Bavarian companies of all sizes and from all industriesparticipatedin the state competition,“Bavaria’s Best Employers2021.” Companies from all sectors across Germany with 20–49 employees participated in the“Best Employers in Small and Medium-Sized Businesses 2021”competition.
They voluntarily submitted to an independent assessment of their workplace culture by the Great Place to Work® Institute and to the evaluation of their own employees. The list of top employers was compiled from the entire pool of participants (with benchmarking broken down by company size). The companies use the detailed survey results and employee feedback both to further develop their corporate culture and to build an effective and credible employer brand.
