Munich-based consulting firm KBC takes third place in the “Best Employers in Consulting 2021” ranking
In early May, GPTW named Germany’s Best Employers of 2021 in various categories. Third place in the “Best Employers in Consulting” category went to the Munich-based consulting firm Kemény Boehme & Company GmbH – KBC.
“The outstanding reviews from our employees prove that our KBC spirit—characterized by trust, appreciation, and a family-like atmosphere—is stronger than any crisis. A team like ours thrives on challenges and delivers excellent work even when conditions make it seem impossible,” said Felix Feuerbach, co-founder and senior partner at KBC, regarding the GPTW award during the COVID-19 crisis year.

General information about the competition:
The award is based on an anonymous and representative survey of KBC employees. Topics covered in the survey include trust in management, quality of collaboration, appreciation, identification with the company, career development opportunities, compensation, team spirit, fairness, respect, and identification with the company. In addition, as part of a culture audit, management is asked which measures and programs have been implemented to foster an attractive workplace culture. The results of the two surveys (Great Place to Work® Employee Survey + Culture Audit) are weighted in a 3:1 ratio. The employees’ assessment is therefore the primary focus.
Consulting firms of all sizes and from all industry segments participated in the latest Great Place to Work® industry competition,“Best Employers in Consulting 2021.”
They voluntarily submitted to an independent assessment of their workplace culture by the Great Place to Work® Institute and to the evaluation of their own employees. The list of top employers was compiled from the entire pool of participants (with benchmarking broken down by company size). The companies use the detailed survey results and employee feedback both to further develop their corporate culture and to build an effective and credible employer brand.
The partners of the Great Place to Work® industry initiative, launched in 2016, and the“Best Employers in Consulting”competition are the Federal Association of German Management Consultants (BDU) and the industry platform Consulting.de. The initiative is part of the cross-industry “Germany’s Best Employers” competition, which has been held annually since 2002.
