Creating transparency for design concepts and purchased parts management in plant engineering
We developed and implemented a comprehensive plan for a renowned plant engineering firm to ensure transparency regarding ongoing design issues and to manage parts.

Background
The customer was faced with a lack of transparency regarding the processing status of ongoing design projects and parts management. There was a lack of an overall overview and effective communication between the various departments.
Specific task
Our task involved establishing a comprehensive overview of the project status, responsibilities, material status, delivery, installation, and documentation. In addition, we were tasked with improving communication between departments and, where necessary, taking prompt ad hoc action.
KBC's Approach
We implemented a daily reporting system to support rapid management decision-making. By introducing a daily joint meeting, we were able to efficiently resolve issues at the interfaces between departments. We prioritized and managed more than 1,300 detailed design issues and established an active parts management system for both in-house production and purchased parts.
