Practical example
Optimization of a Software Development Process
As the company experienced strong growth, the software development team faced significant challenges that were hindering the efficiency of the development process. Structured interviews and a 7S workshop were conducted to identify both the weaknesses and strengths of the current process. The goal was to identify areas requiring action and their root causes, and to develop appropriate measures for optimization.

Background
Among the challenges identified were the team’s overload due to high growth demands and the lack of measurable outcomes from the development process. To increase transparency and predictability in the software development process, a fundamental optimization and reorganization was necessary.
Specific task
The methodology involved conducting interviews, holding a 7S workshop, and performing root cause analyses to gain an accurate understanding of the existing issues. Taking into account current and planned activities, an implementation plan was developed for the identified measures with the goal of increasing efficiency in the software development process and meeting the company’s growth objectives.
KBC's Approach
Fifteen specific action plans were developed, aimed at optimizing and reorganizing the software development team. In addition to measures for employee empowerment and improving predictability and transparency in the development process, best-practice examples were presented to serve as the basis for developing a state-of-the-art organizational design for the development team. Our extensive experience in the field of process optimization was instrumental in the success of this project.
