Practical example
Optimizing Supplier Quality for an Automaker's Manufacturing Plants
We initiated and implemented a comprehensive program for a leading automotive manufacturer to optimize the quality of parts supplied to its production plants. Our goal was to improve quality across the entire supplier network and realign supplier management.

Background
The customer was facing disruptions at its global production facilities caused by suppliers. There was a lack of consistent visibility into the quality issues with delivered parts, as well as a lack of comprehensive analysis and the implementation of corrective measures for critical supplier locations.
Specific task
Our task involved strategically defining and aligning a large-scale quality improvement program. This included launching the subprojects and designing measures to address weaknesses. In addition, we were tasked with developing a consistent supplier evaluation framework and redefining the supplier management process.
KBC's Approach
We implemented an end-to-end supplier location management system using a set of tools that deliver rapid results. We identified weaknesses in the supply chain and developed appropriate corrective actions. We reviewed and analyzed the impact of the supplier measures and ensured ongoing transparency through consistent reporting on the non-conformities of the delivered parts.
