KBC Named Best Employer for the 23rd Time

23 independent awards in 8 years. This firmly establishes the international boutique consulting firm KemĂ©ny Boehme Consultants (KBC) as a top employer—in the consulting industry, in Germany, in Bavaria, and among small and medium-sized businesses. KBC’s 80-person team is regularly surveyed by Great Place to WorkÂź, attesting to the unique culture of collaboration and mutual respect at the Munich-based consulting firm. In addition, kununu and The Fair Company Initiative have awarded KBC top marks for fair working conditions.

About Great Place to WorkÂź

Great Place to Work¼ is an international research and consulting institute based in Cologne. Since 2002, it has evaluated more than 20,000 employers in over 100 countries in terms of corporate culture. All “Best Employers” competitions follow the same procedure: Employees are surveyed anonymously, while management also undergoes an audit. Employees’ opinions carry three times as much weight as those of managers. This ensures that all Great Place to Work¼ awards remain directly comparable and are as employee-friendly as possible.

Since 2018, Great Place to WorkŸ has recognized Kemény Boehme Consultants (KBC) 15 times across four categories.

Germany's Best Employers

“Germany’s Best Employers” is a nationwide competition for employers of all industries and sizes, organized annually by Great Place to Work¼. Since 2002, it has recognized companies with an above-average corporate culture. Over time, this overarching competition has given rise to specialized awards by industry, region, or company size.

KBC received an award in 2025 in the “Germany’s Best Employers” category.

Best Employers in Consulting

In 2016, the Federal Association of German Management Consultants (BDU) and Consulting.de launched this competition. Consulting firms of all sizes and from all industry sectors operating in Germany are eligible to participate. The “Best Employers in Consulting” award is therefore industry-specific. It demonstrates that good consulting starts with a firm’s own corporate culture.

KBC was recognized in the “Best Employers in Consulting” category in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023, and 2025.

Best Employers in Bavaria

Since 2014, the state-level competition “Bavaria’s Best Employers” has been recognizing Bavarian companies. The partners are bayme vbm—the employers’ associations of the metal and electrical industries in Bavaria—and the Bavarian Industry Association (Vereinigung der Bayerischen Wirtschaft e. V.). Bavarian companies of all sizes and from all industries are eligible to participate in the competition. This award honors Bavarian employers for their exemplary corporate culture.

KBC was recognized in the “Bavaria’s Best Employers” category in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023, and 2025.

Best Employers Among Small and Medium-Sized Businesses

Since 2018, this competition has recognized small and medium-sized enterprises. Companies with 10 to 49 employees are eligible to participate. Partners include the Federal Association of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (BVMW) and the Demography Network (ddn). Also involved are the Ludwig Erhard Prize Initiative (ILEP) and the trade magazine *Markt & Mittelstand*. Since 2024, KBC—with over 80 employees—has outgrown this category.

KBC received awards in 2021 and 2023 in the “Best Employers in Small and Medium-Sized Businesses” category.

About the kununu Top Company Seal

kununu is an employer review platform based in Vienna. Founded in 2007, it is now one of the largest platforms in the German-speaking world. Employees and job seekers use the platform to anonymously review their employers. Since 2015, kununu has also awarded the “Top Company” seal, which recognizes employers with particularly high ratings. Each year, only about 5% of companies on kununu qualify for this distinction.

KBC was awarded the Top Company seal in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026.

About the Fair Company Seal

Fair Company is the Handelsblatt’s employer network. It was founded in 2004 and is considered the largest of its kind in Germany. The Fair Company seal of approval recognizes companies that offer particularly fair working conditions to entry-level employees and young professionals. The Institute for Employment and Employability (IBE) serves as the scientific partner. It evaluates companies using a questionnaire it developed specifically for this purpose. Among other things, the assessment covers leadership, corporate culture, diversity, and social responsibility. Only companies that meet all criteria are permitted to call themselves a “Fair Company.”

KBC was awarded the Fair Company seal in 2024, 2025, and 2026.

KBC 2026 Recognized with the Fair Company Seal for the Third Consecutive Year

In 2026, KBC was once again recognized as a “Fair Company” by the renowned German business and financial newspaper Handelsblatt. This marks the third consecutive year that the Munich-based international boutique management consulting firm has received this distinction. The company was once again evaluated by the Institute for Employment and Employability (IBE). This time, the assessment focused, among other things, on fair market conduct, sustainability, and the treatment of young professionals—areas to which KemĂ©ny Boehme Consultants attaches particular importance.

KBC Named a "Fair Company" Again in 2025

In 2025, KBC will once again be part of the Handelsblatt Fair Company Network. The award is given to particularly fair employers across all sectors, including consulting. As a scientific partner, the Institute for Employment and Employability (IBE) evaluates factors such as diversity, equal opportunity, and social responsibility. As a result, KBC’s membership in the Fair Company Network will continue for another year.

KBC 2025 Honored Three Times as Best Employer

In 2025, KBC was recognized as the best employer in three categories: in the consulting industry, in Germany, and in Bavaria. In each case, the corporate culture was evaluated by the renowned Great Place to WorkÂź Institute. All three competitions were based on an anonymous employee survey.

Three awards in one year—at the industry, federal, and state levels—make us especially happy. This recognition is due to our entire team. It shows that we not only give our all for our customers, but also stand up for one another, thereby creating an exceptionally good work environment.

KBC Receives the 2024 Fair Company Seal

KBC was named a "Fair Company" in 2024. KemĂ©ny Boehme Consultants received the award from the Handelsblatt in collaboration with the Institute for Employment and Employability (IBE). The evaluation criteria included leadership, corporate culture, and the company’s approach to new graduates. With this award, KBC is now a member of the Handelsblatt’s Fair Company network.

KBC Honored as “Best Employers in Bavaria 2023”

At the state-level competition “Best Employers in Bavaria 2023,” KBC was once again recognized by Great Place to Work¼ as one of Bavaria’s best employers on April 26, 2023. Patricia Morgenstern, Marketing & Employer Branding Manager at KBC, accepted the award during the ceremony in Munich.

In his speech, Great Place to WorkŸ Managing Director Andreas Schubert emphasized that the award recognizes a workplace culture characterized to a high degree by trust, pride, and team spirit. He noted that an attractive corporate culture that fosters engagement is, among other things, a key factor in tackling important challenges of the future.

The Great Place to WorkÂź jury noted in particular that KemĂ©ny Boehme Consultants places great emphasis on fair compensation and takes individual needs into account—including those related to religion, dietary preferences, and physical disabilities.

We are very pleased that our employees have once again rated us so highly. In addition, this certification provides us with valuable insights to help us continuously improve as an employer. At KBC, a genuine interest in each individual—rather than just their labor—and recognition for good work and exceptional dedication form the foundation for continuous personal and professional growth. For us, sharing knowledge is not only a given but an integral part of our corporate culture.

KBC Named “Best Employers in Consulting 2023”

By placing fifth in this year’s Great Place to WorkÂź “Best Employers in Consulting 2023” competition, KĂ©meny Boehme Consultants has once again been recognized as one of the top employers among German consulting firms.

The evaluation made it clear: We are committed to credible, fair leadership and the active development of our employees. Respect, trust, and team spirit are integral parts of our corporate culture. In this year’s survey, the Great Place to Work¼ jury particularly highlighted the regular mentoring sessions and team meetings that take place at KBC every two weeks, thereby fostering regular communication within the team.

Incidentally, this recognition was confirmed by our internal employee survey conducted as part of the biannual team workshop on the “Continuous Improvement Process” (CIP).

KemĂ©ny Boehme Consultants has once again been recognized in the Great Place to WorkÂź regional competition in the category “Best Employers in Small and Medium-Sized Businesses 2023.”

KBC Named a “Great Place to Work¼” for the 5th Consecutive Year in 2021

Once again, KBC has won the “Best Employer in Consulting” and “Bavaria’s Best Employers” awards, and for the first time, the “Best Employer Among Small and Medium-Sized Businesses” award—an outstanding recognition of the KBC team.

Consulting thrives on teamwork and close contact with clients and one’s own team. In 2020, the pandemic made precisely that difficult: in-person interaction within the team was limited for months. Nevertheless, KBC had a successful fiscal year.

Nevertheless—or perhaps precisely because of this—the company was once again recognized as a Great Place to Work¼. The employee survey continued to show high scores for trust and appreciation.

I’m looking forward to the whole KBC team being able to work together again soon in our new offices—and to celebrating and spending time together as well. I’m proud to be part of this company, and I’d like to thank all our employees for their dedication and for valuing our KBC family. You’re the best!

A team like ours thrives on challenges and delivers excellent work even when conditions would seem to make it impossible. We’ll seize the next available opportunity and make up for the award celebration in a fitting manner.

KBC Remains Among the Top Employers in the Consulting Industry in 2020

For several years now, KBC has been ranked among Germany’s top employers. We regularly receive Great Place to Work¼ awards in the categories “Best Employers in Consulting” and “Bavaria’s Best Employers.”

2020 was a special year, as the pandemic presented the entire KBC team with unprecedented challenges: lockdowns, no social contact, no face-to-face interaction, and no group activities. Nevertheless, we continued to serve our clients and manage our projects with the same level of professionalism as before. To do so, we utilized the full range of online tools and techniques, including remote collaboration.

Close teamwork is a key part of our KBC culture, which is why this has been—and continues to be—a particularly challenging time. Virtual coffee breaks and get-togethers could only partially make up for this. At the same time, we also moved into our new office last year, located in the newly developed Artviertel district in eastern Munich.

There, we at least had the opportunity—while observing the appropriate hygiene guidelines, of course—to see each other again and talk in person.

We were delighted that our team at KBC once again received the highest rating in the Great Place to Work¼ competition. This year, we were even honored with a third award: “Best Employer in the Small and Medium-Sized Business Category.” The awards ceremony will take place in May. We’re very excited to find out exactly where we ranked in each category.

KBC Named One of Bavaria’s “Best Employers” Again in 2019

KBC has been recognized as one of the best employers in Bavaria in the state-wide competition “Bavaria’s Best Employers 2019,” organized by the Great Place to Work¼ research institute. 100 percent of the employees surveyed agreed with the statement: “We feel like a family here—we have a great team spirit.”

Managing Director Stefan KemĂ©ny and Human Resources Manager Constanze Schöffmann accepted the award on April 3, 2019, at the Haus der bayerischen Wirtschaft in Munich on behalf of the “KBC family.”

KBC Takes First Place in the "Best Employers in Consulting 2019" Competition

KBC is celebrating! This year, the company took first place in the Great Place to Work competition “Best Employers in Consulting 2019” in the category for companies with fewer than 50 employees.

It’s a reason to pop the corks and raise a glass to the award. Managing Director Stefan KemĂ©ny is particularly pleased that the evaluation was based on a detailed, anonymous employee survey.

Portrait photo of Stefan Kemény, Senior Partner at Kemény Boehme Consultants (KBC). A man with short, graying hair and square, dark-framed glasses, smiling warmly at the camera. He is wearing a dark navy blue suit over a white shirt without a tie, his hands casually folded in front of his body.

I’ve taken a close look at the results and am still impressed and grateful to receive such great feedback from the team. What sets us apart is the special spirit at KBC. Employees not only enjoy coming to work, but they also feel like part of a family here and experience this special team spirit. They see the genuine interest that managers show in them as individuals—not just as workers—and the recognition they receive for their good work and exceptional dedication. I’m proud to be part of the KBC team and would like to thank everyone for their great trust, this remarkable evaluation, and this award.
