Senior Partners and owners

Stefan Kemény

Stefan is a founding member as well as namesake of KBC. He was Managing Partner of the GmbH and is Chairman of the Board of Directors since the SE was founded in July 2023. He is also Practice Lead of the Supply Chain Management division.

From 1991 to 1997 Stefan studied mechanical engineering at the University of Clausthal and the University of Cardiff (Wales), parallel from 1993 business administration and economics at the University of Göttingen.

In 1997 he began his consulting career at Mummert Consulting in the automotive sector in Hamburg. He was then called to Ernst & Young Consulting in Stuttgart, where he optimized product development for companies in the automotive and aviation industries. From there he moved to the BMW Group in 2001 to set up the in-house management consultancy. Here, as Principal, he was in charge of the program management and product development departments.

His enthusiasm for technology led Stefan to automobiles again and again – as a car mechanic, as a classic car fan and, of course, as a management consultant. And finally the creation of KBC in 2007.

Thanks to his insights into technology sectors, companies and their value chains, Stefan Kemény can draw on a large number of best practices. But what is crucial for him is listening, questioning and real understanding – in order to develop the best, individually tailored solution for his customers.

Felix Feuerbach

Felix is a founding member of KBC and was Deputy Managing Director and authorized signatory of the GmbH. With the establishment of the SE, he is Managing Director since July 2023.

His passion is cars – Felix left no doubt about that very early on. Parallel to his school career, he started his professional career in a garage for automobiles and motorcycles. In 1994, he entered the world of automobile racing, where he worked as a mechanic and race engineer to accompany his studies. He completed his studies in mechanical and vehicle engineering in the UK in 1998.

Subsequently, in 1999, he co-founded Automotive Solutions GmbH, where he was technical director responsible for overall vehicle development. In 2003, he moved to Nexolab GmbH, BMW’s in-house management consultancy. Here, too, Felix Feuerbach was responsible for product development and production, now in the context of product and practice-oriented consulting projects within the BMW Group as well as with its suppliers.

Today, Felix advises his customers on product-related topics concerning quality, costs and innovations. Since 2011, he has also been intensively involved with circular economies, in particular the topic of remanufacturing. Since 2018, he has been a member of the expert jury for the Remanufacturer of the Year Award, which is presented by Rematec, the leading trade fair for remanufacturing.

However, Felix has retained the racing stable smell over the years and is still active in motorsport today.

Maximilian Klee

Maximilian is a founding member and co-owner of KBC.

After graduating from the University of Passau with a degree in humanities and business administration, he started his career at BMW’s own management consultancy Nexolab GmbH in Munich.

Maximilian Klee draws his expertise from more than 18 years of supporting major projects at OEMs and suppliers to the automotive industry. He created the KBC methodology of the “Quality Scan”, in which companies quickly gain insights into possible quality improvement measures. In addition to his consulting activities, Maximilian regularly conducts studies on the topics of “Quality and Reliability” and “Supply Chain Management”.

However, Maximilian sees experience and sound business knowledge as only one building block for maximizing the potential of his clients. He considers enthusiasm for complex issues to be just as important – from which a natural hands-on mentality emerges in the team, as well as the joy of implementing solutions and exceeding expectations.
