Analysis, conception and setup of a proof-of-concept (PoC) tool for future risk monitoring of warranty extensions
Background
Unser Kunde, ein führender Anbieter im Bereich Nutzfahrzeuge, stand vor der Herausforderung, ein effizientes und handhabbares Risikomonitoring für Garantieverlängerungen zu implementieren. Bis dato fehlte eine standardisierte Methodik zur kontinuierlichen Beobachtung und Prognose von (Kosten-)Risiken im Zusammenhang mit Garantieverlängerungen.
Specific Task
The main objective was to create a concept for risk monitoring of warranty extensions. This included the definition of KPIs and the implementation in a business intelligence application as part of a proof-of-concept (PoC).
KBC Solution Approach
The first challenge was the lack of a methodology to monitor and forecast risks. To address this, KBC developed a standardized cost risk assessment model. This model enabled forecasting across all relevant levels, from countries and markets to series and contract types.
The second challenge was the lack of transparency on existing data. KBC designed a tool or dashboard for continuous risk monitoring and set up a PoC in Tableau.
