Implementation of Disruptive Innovations in Plant Engineering for Sustainable Efficiency Improvement

For a leading plant engineering company, we implemented a strategy for realizing sustainable disruptive innovations. Our goal was to identify and realize significant savings potentials along existing production facilities, processes, and technologies without compromising product quality or work safety.

The client was faced with the challenge of significantly reducing CAPEX costs to free up capital for sustainable investments.

Specific Task

Our task included conducting workshops and individual work sessions at national and global levels, focusing on practicality and timely applicability of the developed procedures and methods. Additionally, we were to create a transparent reporting system for better traceability of the targeted goals.

We implemented disruptive innovation strategies and set up a program management tailored to the client’s organization. As part of the implementation, we developed a modular product catalog to reduce project-specific additional costs and created transparency about the existing target gap at all relevant points in the company. Through analysis and critical examination of established standards and procedures within the network, we identified levers for further optimization.
