The result: Both the total number of recalls and the number of affected vehicles increased compared to 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The analysis also showed that 2\/3 of all recalls were allocated to premium OEMs (Mercedes leads the statistic, followed by VW and BMW). In most cases the parts causing the recalls were safety-relevent components (i.e., engine\/fuel supply, suspension systems, seats and belts, airbag systems, steering systems).
